ABOUT THE COFFEE:
This coffee is produced by a grouping of smallholders that are members of OCCICAFE Cooperative in the San Vicente in Huila. Each coffee brought to OCCICAFE is roasted and cupped to ensure the quality of coffee is being vetted through as only lot with a scoring of 85 and above with moisture content between 10 to 11 % is selected for the San Vincente lot.
OCCICAFE was set up in 2003, but before 2015, most of their lot is sold through the C market in Colombia. However in 2015, with the rise of the speciality coffee industry, OCCICAFE implemented the higher quality required to ensure that their lot is destined for International consumers.
