ABOUT THE COFFEE:
Produced by smallholders from Tablon de Gomez, Narino. This small municipality is a 2-hour drive away from Buesaco, Narino where some of the most unique micro-lots from Narino are produced. Coffee from this region can reach up to 2200 masl making it some of the highest-grown coffee in the world. It can be difficult to grow coffee at such high altitudes, in the southern tip of Colombia, which means Narino is nearer to the equator when compared to coffee grown in the department of Huila or Antioquia. The high altitude combined with the tropical climate during the day and cool nights allow slow maturation in the cherry development means the coffee has the potential of being candied sweetness, floral and fruity.
